On Saturday,25th of June, 2011 Glenside Hospital Museum hosted an event to celebrate 150 years of Glenside Hospital.

Everybody was welcome to participate in the Celebrations, retired staff from Glenside Hospital  and from Barrow Hospital were specially invited to come and meet their colleagues and friends. Ex--staff from Learning Difficulties Hospitals were also most welcome. All Community Psychiatric staff and patients were also invited. There were Stalls from many Voluntary Organizations representing  mental health care issues. UWE provided marquees and AWP NHS Trust provided refreshments, which were much appreciated.

I am pleased to say over 200 visitors attended the celebrations. Everybody seemed to be enjoying

themselves. In the end I thanked all who took part in the Celebrations. There was good publicity for the

Museum as an article was published in the Evening Post about the Celebrations.
